Terms of Use & Acceptable Use

Luz Photo · Last updated September 1, 2026

By using Luz Photo and its collection-sharing feature you agree to these terms.

1. The software

Luz Photo is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app or the sharing feature.

2. The sharing feature is yours to operate

Luz Photo can upload images to your own Google Drive and generate a link to view them. You are solely responsible for the content you upload and share. The developer does not host, store, control, or monitor that content — it resides in your own Google Drive, under your own Google account and your agreement with Google. The Luz Photo share page is only a viewer; it stores none of your images.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Luz Photo to upload, share, or distribute any content that:

  • is unlawful, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), or that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor;
  • infringes the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of others;
  • is otherwise illegal under any law that applies to you.

Content you upload to Google Drive is also subject to Google’s terms; violations may result in action against your Google account by Google.

4. Reporting and enforcement

Luz and the share page do not monitor shared content. The developer generally has no ability to access or remove content stored in your Google Drive. If an applicable law requires a report about content that is brought to the developer’s attention, the developer will make that report through the legally required channel, including the NCMEC CyberTipline where applicable. To report abuse, contact support@luz-photo.app.

5. Availability

Luz is offered as a 14-day full trial followed by an auto-renewable subscription. Apple manages billing, cancellation and refunds. When a subscription is inactive, the Luz app is unavailable and Luz share and portfolio URLs are unavailable. Your originals and non-destructive edit data remain where they were on your Mac and in your own Drive. Links and portfolios are published from your Drive; removing their Drive folder removes the corresponding published content.

The sharing feature and its supporting web page are provided on a best-effort basis and may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. A direct Google Drive image URL deliberately saved while a share was active may remain available until you delete that share folder; this does not grant access to your Luz library or other images.

6. Connect AI is your choice

Connect AI is an optional, read-only local connection to an AI client you choose. It is not required for Luz search. If you authorize it, the client can request library data including files, notes, paths, precise locations, originals, and renditions. You are responsible for choosing a provider you trust, reviewing its terms and privacy policy, and ensuring you have the rights to disclose the material you make available. Luz does not operate that provider, relay the data, or retain its conversations.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
